- Effect of mixed organic acid and levan type fructan supplementation on improving performance and reducing gas emission of weaned pigs

The research evaluated the effects of protected organic acids and levan-type fructan on growth performance and fecal gas emission in weaned pigs.

A total of 72 pigs (average body weight 21.44 kg) were assigned to three dietary treatments for 14 days: a control group,

a group supplemented with 0.1% protected organic acids, and a group supplemented with 0.05% levan-type fructan.

The results demonstrated that both additives significantly improved body weight, average daily gain, and feed efficiency compared to the control.

Furthermore, fecal consistency scores and ammonia emissions were notably reduced.

These findings suggest that protected organic acids and levan-type fructan are promising alternatives to enhance growth and

mitigate environmental impact during the weaning phase.
